Forced to Disappear

Tibet has been rated 0 out of 100 for freedom for the third consecutive year.

Every aspect of religious life is controlled by the CCP:

  • All monasteries are watched via pervasive video surveillance.
  • Tibetans are forced to denounce the Dalai Lama.
  • Children are banned from religious education.

And Tibetan monks are forcibly disappeared.

In many cases, their charges are unknown. Some resurface years later in prisons far from their home. Others are never heard from again

Help us hold China to account. We will speak the names of these political prisoners - Choktrul Dorje Ten, Geshe Kunchok Choedak, and Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, the 11th Panchen Lama - in the highest international forums, mounting pressure on China for their swift release.

Your support will train the next generation of Tibetan campaigners to defend one of the most basic human rights: the freedom to believe.

  • £18 will introduce a young Tibetan activist to core skills in storytelling, public speaking, and campaigning on behalf of Tibetan political prisoners.
  • £35 will fund a full day of intensive training, preparing a future Tibetan leader to engage press, influence audiences, and organise effective advocacy.
  • £50 will develop a future campaign leader – supporting a full programme of workshops, one-to-one mentoring, and opportunities to brief MPs, mounting pressure on the UN and UK government to protect Tibetan religious freedom.
