JUSTICE FOR HUNGKAR DORJE

Tulku Hungkar Dorje, the respected and beloved Abbot of Lung Ngon Monastery in Gade County, Tibet, has died under suspicious circumstances in Vietnam.

He was in hiding in Vietnam after fleeing Tibet following a crackdown on Tibetan Buddhism in his local area, which resulted in his brutal interrogation.

He was arrested from his hotel in Ho Chi Minh City on 25th March. On 3rd April his death was announced publicly by his monastery.

There needs to be an independent investigation to uncover what happened to Tulku Hungkar Dorje.

Tibetans around the world are feeling unsafe. A beloved Tibetan leader has died on foreign soil, and the extent of Chinese government involvement is unknown.

This is the time to stand with Tibetans. To let them know we are there to support them, and to seek justice for Tulku Hungkar Dorje.

Send an email to Vietnamese officials using this form, and demand an investigation into Tulku Hungkar Dorje’s death.
